The Miami Zoo is the largest zoo in Florida and the 5th in the United States. Containing over 3,000 animals from all over the world and located on nearly 750 acres of land, it features over 100 major exhibits, and it is the only subtropical zoo in the continental United States.
Our company was selected to fabricate and erect a large steel structure to support the Conservation Action Center, a beautiful facility located at the intersection of the zoo’s main pathway. This large indoor pavilion features museum quality interactive exhibits, themed to conservation and wildlife preservation, each containing detailed information on why conservation of a variety of species matter, what it takes to save species, and what individuals can do to preserve them. All presented in a fun, dynamic, easy to understand and memorable way for all age groups! Our company feels grateful for the successful development of a facility with such a great mission, and we look forward to continue supporting our zoo for many years to come.

The United States’ largest provider of Spanish-language content nationally, broadcasts programs aimed at Latin American audiences in the U.S. and worldwide including telenovelas, sports, reality television, news, films, and weather among others. As NBC’s affiliate and sister company, they launched a “First Alert Doppler 6000”, a new S-band dual polarized radar system. This system enables them to give more precise and faster weather forecasting abilities. Advance Steel Fab was the immediate choice to fabricate a custom built structure to support the new dome which is mounted atop the stations’ Miramar studios along Interstate 75. We are proud to mention that our team successfully completed this project, and we were able to accommodate a structure that adhered to all building codes, specifications, existing design, and that delivered the desired function and required protection.
